Port of Pollenca (Puerto Pollensa) is one of Mallorca's most appealing coastal towns — and it is just 15 minutes from our base in Cala San Vicente. Where its sister town Pollenca offers culture and history, the Port delivers stunning seafront scenery, watersports, and some of the island's best cycling routes.
The Pine Walk
The Pine Walk (Paseo de los Pinos) is one of the most beautiful promenades in Mallorca. A shaded pathway lined with ancient pine trees stretches along the waterfront, with the turquoise bay on one side and elegant old hotels on the other. It is the kind of place where time slows down.
We often use the Pine Walk for recovery walks or cool-down sessions. Early morning, when the light is golden and the bay is mirror-still, it is nothing short of magical.
Watersports and Swimming
Port of Pollenca's bay is sheltered and calm, making it perfect for swimming, stand-up paddleboarding, and kayaking. On rest days, some of our guests hire paddleboards and explore the coastline from the water — a completely different perspective on the landscape we train in every day.
The beach stretches for several kilometres, with a mix of sandy areas and wooden jetties. The water is shallow and crystal-clear, ideal for a refreshing post-training swim.

Cycling Paradise
Port of Pollenca is one of Europe's premier cycling destinations. Professional teams train here every spring, and the roads heading into the Tramuntana mountains offer routes for every ability level. The road from Port of Pollenca up to the Cap de Formentor is legendary — a winding coastal road with dramatic cliffs and jaw-dropping views.
Even if you are not a serious cyclist, renting a bike and riding along the flat coastal road to Alcudia is a beautiful way to spend a morning.
Beachfront Dining
The restaurant scene in Port of Pollenca is excellent. The promenade is lined with restaurants and cafes, many with tables right on the waterfront. Fresh seafood is the star here — grilled fish, paella, and calamari with views across the bay. For something special, the restaurants near the marina offer fine dining with creative Mediterranean menus.
Cap de Formentor
From Port of Pollenca you can drive (or cycle, if you are feeling ambitious) to Cap de Formentor — the dramatic headland at the northernmost tip of Mallorca. The road itself is an experience: winding through pine forests and along cliff edges with the Mediterranean far below. At the end, a historic lighthouse perches on the edge of the world. On clear days you can see Menorca across the strait.
We sometimes organise sunrise trips to Formentor. Watching the sun come up from one of the most dramatic viewpoints in the Balearics is something our guests never forget.
The Tuesday Market
Every Tuesday morning, Port of Pollenca hosts its own market along the main road near the beach. It is smaller and more relaxed than the Pollenca Sunday market but still worth a visit — local produce, clothing, crafts, and a friendly atmosphere.
Explore the Wider Area
Port of Pollenca is perfectly placed for exploring northern Mallorca. The best beaches in the area are all within easy reach, and the hiking trails of the Tramuntana start just minutes inland. Combine the Port with a visit to the historic town of Pollenca for the complete experience.
