Itinerary

Sunday Arrival Day

Arriving into Palma de Mallorca the transfer to the local town of Alcudia, the location of the Spain Fitness Bootcamp,  takes approximately one hour on the A32 bus service (direct from the airport). A member of our friendly team will be waiting to meet you off the bus on arrival in Alcudia and transfer you to your accommodation. You can arrive at any time on Sunday and check in after 2pm. After checking in, you are free to chill at the villa, hit the beach, or do some stand-up paddle. A group orientation and introduction session are on Monday at lunchtime. But on Sunday evening you will get to know everyone as we will make reservations at a nice nearby restaurant for the whole group.

Monday Intro Day & Start Training

Sunrise Yoga Session 07.45 – 8:30 am

As with all days (Monday to Friday), we start off with an early morning sunrise yoga session to stretch your muscles and ease you into training at 7.45 am. Sessions take place on the roof terrace overlooking the ocean, National Park and Sierra Tramontana mountain range.

Healthy Snack 08.30 am

Then time for a healthy snack consisting of fresh fruit and water. A full breakfast is served after the 9 – 10 am training session.

High-Intensity Interval Training (HITT) Fitness Sessions 09.00-10:00 am

You´re about to experience cardio conditioning that will completely transform your body. It´s a challenge, but our amazing instructor can modify the toughest moves to help you push yourself at any level.

The sessions may take place in the national park, around the beach house, on the beach or in a number of different training areas.  These training sessions will increase your fitness levels very quickly.

Breakfast 10:00 – 11:00  am

Then time for a healthy breakfast consisting of fruit, yoghurt, cereal, toast and eggs. Breakfast is served in the relaxing garden of the Beach house.

Stand Up Paddle 11:00 – 12:00 am

Depending on the water conditions we have a daily stand-up paddle session. The Bay of Pollenca has crystal calm flat water in the morning and is the perfect place to do some stand-up paddle due to it being relatively shallow and exceptionally beautiful. Stand-up paddle is very good for your core strength and stability. Session done right would be better than doing countless crunches and it’s a lot more enjoyable! On Mondays, we include a lesson, the rest of the week you can just get a board and get out on the water at any time!

Buffet Lunch 01:30 – 02:30 pm

Buffet style healthy lunch served on the roof terrace or in the garden.

Free Beach Time or Kite Surfing 2:30 – 04:00 pm

Time to some much needed R&R. Hit the beautiful beaches of Port De Pollenca. The nice sandy beaches are close by (5 minutes) and you will have your own bike to get you there.

If you have booked the optional learn to kitesurf course, your training time will happen between 1.30 and pm. This is the optimal time to enjoy the thermal wind which pretty much guarantees your ability to learn to kitesurf right in front of the villa.

Optional Jog or Bike Circuits 04:00 – 06:00 pm

You have time to do a jog or bike circuit. You will be provided with a bicycle and a route. Note this is an unguided activity.

Beach Training, HIIT or Volleyball sessions 06:00 – 07:00 pm

At 6 PM we do another group training session, which is another High Intensity Interval Training style session, we do this 2 times a week on Tuesday and Thursday. One time a week we lay on beach volleyball training session or other beach training sessions which is a fun effective way of getting the blood pumping let’s hope you don’t get too competitive! On Monday and Friday afternoons you have the opportunity to do a nature trek, this lasts approximately 2 ½ hours taking you through a beautiful valley, down to a secluded beach.

Back To The Beach House 07.00pm

At approximately 7 PM it’s time to head back to the accommodation for showers, prior to heading out with the rest of the group for dinner in the local town.

Tuesday to Friday

Runs more or less on the same schedule, there are however some minor changes throughout the week.

Saturday
Early risers are able to enjoy a beautiful sunrise SUP session, or perhaps you may prefer a lie in. After a healthy breakfast at 8:30 AM on Saturday, it’s excursion day!

There is a range of options for excursions depending on the preference of the group. Some of these excursions are free and others incur a local charge

Some of the excursion options include:
⦁ Speed boat hire: (Minimum for persons 100 EUR per person) includes captain, fuel and boat hire 4 hours)
⦁ Formentor Beach we catch a glass bottom boat across to one of the most beautiful beaches. The journey takes 25 minutes from Puerto Pollensa to Formentor the views of the bay along the way are impressive. You can get a closer look at the lighthouse at Cap de Formentor and La Fortaleza, one of Spain’s most impressive estates featured in the bbcs night manager. It is an open ticket, so you can choose the timetable you prefer to come back, so the choice of options is flexible and you are not in a rush.
⦁ Formentor look out. Head up to a beautiful world heritage site with dramatic clifftop views.
⦁ Water Park Excursion (entrance fee not included)
⦁ Pirate Boat Experience: five hours exploring the bay’s, beaches and cliffs of Majorca, on a pirate cruiser, includes snorkelling equipment and lunch. With pickup and drop-off from the villa. €60 per person

Sunday Check-Out Day
Sunday is a rest day if you are checking out you will have to vacate your room by 10, but you are welcome to chill by the villa if you have a later flight. Say goodbye to your new friends and hello to maintaining a new healthier better you!

Changes to Itinerary & Inclusions

Please note the above itinerary can change, so the above is to be taken as an indication of what you will achieve, but it is not set in stone.

Locations Of Activities

While “the hub” of the Bootcamp is set at the Beach house, locations for activities are spread out through the local area. You will be given a bicycle on check-in, which will be your mode of transport for the majority of the Boot Camp. The furthest distance you would have to cycle would be 10 minutes and approximately 3 km to get from the beach house to the local town centre of town. The area is well connected with bike paths and is completely flat, along the ocean promenade. Should you wish to go to the local town by taxi, it’s six euros (shared with a maximum of four others).

 

Accommodation

The Shared Beach House

A beautiful Beach house apartment based on shared dorms. The accommodation is located right next to the training areas, so rolling out of bed and start training is easy.

It is also a haven of relaxation when you are not training. Equipped with a rooftop terrace with views of the ocean.

Working out together and living together is a very bonding experience, it’s a great way to make friends. Don’t worry about needing your own space also. The villa is sufficiently big with plenty of chillout areas for you to catch some quiet time too.

Due to the nature of the fitness Bootcamp, people do not tend to have late-nights. You will be exhausted! So you can expect to get a good nights sleep in fan-cooled rooms. 

 

Deluxe Option

If you prefer not to share we have a deluxe option available in a beautiful resort next door to the Beach House. This is suitable for solo travellers, or couples sharing and is inclusive of access to all of the resort’s facilities. This includes a pool and spa. Meals are taken at the beach house with the rest of the group.

Training Only

We have a new addition to our Bootcamp programmes. Training only!

On our Mallorca Bootcamp, we can only offer shared accommodation. It is lovely, supportive, super social and right by the beach. But if you are looking for a bit more luxurious options, or if you are enjoying a family holiday in the stunning North of Mallorca, you can also opt for the Training Only option.

Training only means you can join all the sessions (Yoga HIIT, SUP, Beach Volley, nature treks). But it’s excluding meals and accommodation and bicycle hire. The price is superb. Just 250 a week!

Why Spain?

The location of our fitness Bootcamp in Spain is just a little bit special. Mallorca is known to be a very popular holiday destination for its beautiful beaches and stunning landscapes, but it’s also an exceptionally good place to run fitness Bootcamp.

The UF Spanish Bootcamp is located in the north of the island, sandwiched between a world heritage site, a beautiful picturesque bay (Pollenca), and a national park.

Imagine feeling better about your fitness, meeting other like-minded people and staying in a luxury villa right by the ocean! Kind of makes you want to drop everything immediately and pursue a fitter healthier you!

This gives great opportunities to do exceptionally fun and effective workout sessions all outdoors in a beautiful natural environment.

Training sessions can vary, sometimes we take you into the mountains, at other times you’ll be in the national park or super cool beach workout session where you can dip into the Mediterranean after a hard training session!

Fitness Bootcamp is not all about working out however, it’s important to stress the fun social atmosphere you get these types of camps. The majority of people do tend to come alone, which makes them a great place to meet people.

Everyone is in the same boat, it’s a super supportive atmosphere and very conducive to reaching your fitness goals, without feeling like it’s hard work.

At the end of the day, there are plenty of healthy restaurants to enjoy with your fellow Bootcampers not to mention beautiful beaches to explore in your downtime. And you might as well take full advantage, after all, you will now have the perfect beach body!

Every day in the morning, you can go stand up paddling in the bay. The location is stunning (if you’ve seen the BBC’s night manager much of this was filmed in this location. You can stand up paddle right up to the archvillain Richard Roper’s clifftop fortress!)

There are plenty of other activities on offer as well not just a fitness training. The Boot Camp is located in the perfect kite spot, we can learn to Kite Surf if you’re feeling adventurous!

Flights

Flights are not included, but there are multiple low-cost carriers that fly directly to Palma de Majorca (PMI).

Travelling Alone

Most people who attend the camp, are independent travellers and arrive at the camp on their own. If you are concerned about travelling solo, don’t be. There is such a social atmosphere at the camp, and it is a really supportive environment that everyone gets to know each other very quickly. Serious physical exercise in a group can be quite a bonding experience we assure you! So really it does not take long for people to get to know one another.

 

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the camp?

The camp is located in the Bay of Pollenca right by the beach.

How do get there?

You will need to fly into Palma de Mallorca Airport. Then you can catch a direct bus service to Alcudia-  The A32
Can Picafort – Platja Muro/Alcúdia – Aeroport service. It takes approximately one hour. We will then pick you up at the bus station. You can find out about this here.

How do you get back to the airport at the end?

Return airport transfer can be arranged with the villa management. This costs 80 Eur per person in a car or we will drop you at Alcudia Bus station (see above).

What do you need to bring?

Please bring suitable training gear such as trainers, a couple of pairs of shorts, sports bras for the girls, and training tops. We advise bringing a towel as well to take to the gym and a beach towel.

How much money do you need to bring?

This depends on your own spending choices, but as most meals are covered you only need to cover your external excursions and activities plus dinner each evening. Meals out are about 12-20 euro.

Can I bring protein powder or supplements with me?

You can bring supplements with you please make sure these are clearly labelled.

Can I cook at the accommodation

No, you can not cook at the accommodation, but breakfast and lunch are provided. Dinner is generally eaten out at local restaurants.

What is there to do when they are not training?

Plenty. Beaches, beach clubs, amazing viewpoints and look-outs. There is a range of tours you can do, from boat trips to cycling tours.

Can I come on my own?

Yes! 90% of our clients join the boot camp on their own. In fact far from this being a problem, we would encourage people to do so. It’s a very social environment at the camp and you will make friends very quickly.

What is the normal demographic split?

Probably 70% female 30% male. Both sexes will have different goals and motivations for booking the camp as well. With girls, it’s usually about toning up, weight loss and body confidence. With boys, it’s usually more about strength and conditioning training. Not exclusively there are people who join for all reasons. The important thing to consider is everyone is catered for at the Boot Camp, and people’s goals might change throughout your stay.

Vegetarians

Vegetarians also have options in the meal plan. At the moment we cannot cater for Vegans.

Beaches

The beaches are about 10 meters from the training camp and accommodation, short stroll and you are there. Alternatively, there are nicer sandy beaches 5 minutes by bike.

Do I have to attend the training classes

You do not have to attend classes. No one will make you get out of bed to come training. But you will find it’s very addictive, and most clients have no issue making it to class.

On average people train 2 to 3 hours per day. You have a good mix of group training sessions and you can join the SUP sessions too. When you are not training you have the beach close by and a great garden to chill at!

Can personal training sessions be added to the programme locally?

Yes, people can book extra additional personal training sessions locally, sessions are 55GBP a session.

Does the resort have wifi?
Wifi is available in the accommodation. It’s free.

How do I get around?

The accommodation is just a short walk to Port De Pollenca, and we also provide bicycles free of charge to use. The center of town is 10 minutes by bike. Taxis to town will cost about 8 EUR.
